Raised on sixty rural acres in Mississippi, Sean Anderson developed an early reverence for landscape, texture, and the quiet beauty of patina. Time spent exploring his family’s weathered barn—where aged wood, corrugated metal, and faded paint converged—shaped his enduring appreciation for materiality and narrative. Encouraged to pursue his artistic instincts, he immersed himself in design at a young age, ultimately founding his Memphis-based firm in 2013 after a first small commission revealed both talent and calling.
Today, Sean Anderson creates interiors that balance refinement with soul: modern in foundation, layered with antiques and collected detail. Each project begins with careful listening and evolves through close collaboration with architects and artisans, resulting in bespoke residential and commercial spaces across North America and abroad. Recognized by leading global publications and with a new Rizzoli monograph published in September 2026, Sean’s work remains defined by nuance, craftsmanship, and a belief that the most enduring homes are those that feel deeply personal.
